These days pinterest is all about sharing recipes, recently we encountered pictures of these delicious cookies, SALTED NUTELLA STUFFED CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, but there was no recipe, so we decided to take matters into our own hands and make them ourselves, and now everyone will be able to enjoy the recipe. But first of all if you want to make these cookies make sure you have dark brown sugar, not the cream-beige-khaki colored sugar we usually find in Dominican Republic, you could use Dixie Crystals dark brown sugar. If you use regular sugar your cookies will be pale and crispy instead of dark and gooey.
For this recipe we’ll use our Irresistable Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe , you must use only unsweetened chocolate chips, and we used the smallest chocolate chips we could find.
Yields 24 cookies.
Bake Time: 160C , 360 F, for 15-18 minutes.
You will need:
- 1 cookie dough recipe
- 1 small nutella jar
- 1/4 cup of coarse sea salt
So lets get started! First of all, make the cookie dough, following our recipe. Let it cool in the fridge for an hour or more depending on the intensity of your fridge. The dough must be cold in order to make good cookie dough balls. So after thats done, roll about 1 inch balls, press onto the palm of your hands, place a teaspoon of nutella onto the center of the ball, and cover with another ball. Make sure the edges of both balls meet and are sealed. Otherwise when you place it in the oven the nutella will gush out.
Bake at 160 C, or 360 F, for 15- 18 minutes
