Remember the Pink Birthday we catered for a few weeks ago, we featured our famous brownie truffles that were a total succes! Initially it was supposed to be one per guest, but the first guests managed to snag up more than one and eat them before some of the other guests arrived, we guess that’s just evidence of our good cooking!
- Your favorite brownie recipe baked
- Melting Chocolate Bark ( NOT CHOCOLATE FLAVORED CANDY MELTS)
- Sprinkles, Sanding Sugar, Walnuts…
First of all bake the brownies, you can use any recipe even brownie box mix, the gooey-er the brownies are the better. Bake for the time your recipe calls in a rectangular pan, once they’re baked, let them cool for a couple of minutes but not completely, they must still be warm. So once they’re at a temperature where they won’t burn your fingers, with a fork scrape off the brownie, and make approximately 1 inch in diameter balls, try to make them as smooth as you can.
For covering with chocolate, you can use either milk chocolate or dark chocolate, we’ve used both, and are both equally delicious. Melt in the microwave, or in a double boiler, do not add vegetable shortening. Once you have smooth melted chocolate, dip the truffles into the chocolate. If you wanna add sprinkles this is the moment, dip in sprinkles or sanding sugar, or anything else you’d like.
